"Adopting one child won't change the world; but for that child, the world will change."

It's an ANIMAL maybe even a BEAST!

I'm back and have been thinking a lot about this blog lately. Even though I haven't blogged since September, this blog still gets a lot of frequent hits although a large percentage of those hits are from Western Europeans googling "That's how we roll Zippy!" While I'm still very passionate about adoption, 2011 really sucked the life out of me in the adoption arena. It was dangerous. Damaged relationships have been mended. I have sort of accepted the fact that most people will never understand my emotions regarding these adoptions or the complexities of adoption in general. I've just had to step back and concentrate on being a mom to my children while trying to put adoption in the back of my mind. However, adoption is so big and paramount in my life, it is never forgotten for too long. It IS my life and it is what it is!

  1. Shana I so readily agree. Adoption was not even on the forefront of my mind. My husband and I had raised our kids to adulthood and the "baby" was about to leave for her freshman year of college. As we both know...God's plans are NOT our plans. As I explained a portion of our story on fb, this baby girl was such an added blessing to us. So glad to see you here in BLOGLAND and feel free to see some of the blogs I follow. They are a group of awesome ladies!! Tell them SNEKCIP sent ya!! :)

  2. Adelise is wearing a Muppets shirt today! I like updates, even if they're few and far between. Our church just partnered with our state to heavily promote fostering and adoption. It reminded me of your family.
